How I can help
Support for the moments that change everything.
I work with adults and couples, in person in Annecy and online. These are the areas where I have the most experience. If what you’re facing isn’t listed, ask on our free call — and if someone else would serve you better, I’ll tell you honestly.

Expat life & transitions
When the move was the easy part.
Maybe you followed a partner’s job to Geneva or Annecy and left your own career behind. Maybe you commute across the border every day and arrive home with nothing left. Or maybe the dream of lake-and-mountain life is real, and you still feel strangely alone in it.
Together we make room for all of it: the loss and the opportunity, who you were before, and who you’re becoming here.

Fertility, pregnancy, birth, motherhood, and parenting are major life experiences that can leave you feeling overwhelmed and not like yourself.
Is motherhood different than you expected? Do you feel alone, anxious, tired, sad, angry or irritable? Have you experienced a miscarriage, difficult birth, or slow recovery during postpartum? Is parenting bringing challenges that feel difficult to work through?
It is important to have a safe space to talk about your experiences.

Megan has extensive experience working with eating disorders at the inpatient, day-treatment, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. She will work alongside your medical care providers to support you.
Eating disorders are often defined by a disordered preoccupation with body size, weight, and food. Distorted body image, negative self concept, disordered eating, exercise and self esteem are some of the components of eating disorders.
Eating Disorders &
Body Image
While every individual experiences a unique journey, below are examples of the most common categorization of eating disorders:
Anorexia Nervosa - symptoms include restricted eating, body image distortions, fear of weight gain, disordered eating
Bulimia Nervosa - symptoms include a cycle of binge eating and purging (over exercising, vomiting, laxatives, or other purging behaviors)
Binge Eating - patterns of compulsive and emotional eating (no purging behaviors)
Eating Disorder NOS (not otherwise specified) - disordered relationship with food and body image issues that do not fall under one of the above three categories.
Every relationship encounters both joy and difficult moments.
Sometimes we need someone else to help us notice the patterns, ways of engaging, and help us give voice in a way that can be transformational.
Finding a way through it all is the goal of couples / relationship therapy.

Sometimes expressing ourselves requires more than words.
Cognitive talk therapy works by talking about our thoughts, our emotions, and our behaviors. However, sometimes expressing ourselves requires more than words. Art Therapy and Mindfulness are ways of improving the mind body connection.
Art Therapy & Mindfulness
Art Therapy incorporates art making as a means of self discovery, using images to connect with your inner thoughts and emotions.
Mindfulness in therapy focuses on connecting to the emotions and thoughts in the present moment with awareness and without judgement.
Breathing techniques alongside yoga movements and guided meditations can provide a deeper connection between the mind and body and offer a means of managing stress and anxiety.
